How We Do It

Got Lice offers a full nitpicking service.

We will come to you and ensure that your head lice problem is dealt with effectively and efficiently. We also offer a tutorial if you're a do-it-yourselfer.

Got Lice technicians will also provide tips, cleaning and aftercare instructions.

Go forward with the knowledge and support of our entire team.

We will begin with a thorough head check by a trained GOT LICE technician.

This will give your family piece of mind in getting a proper diagnosis.

The process takes 5–15 minutes (per head),

depending on the length and thickness of the person's hair.

Treatment is needed only if

we find live lice or eggs that are capable of living,

then it's important to act quickly to stop them from spreading further.

We recommend that every person in the home

or anyone who has had physical contact with the affected person

be inspected for the presence of head lice or nits and be treated, if necessary.

If treatment is deemed necessary the technician will apply safe,
non-toxic all natural treatment oil

to treat the infestation and to facilitate the removal of
live lice and nits (lice eggs).

Once the treatment oil has set for 20 minutes we will begin
the wet-combing process with a professional nit removal fine-toothed comb

and treatment conditioner to remove the lice.

Wet-combing breaks up the reproductive cycle by combing out
the lice, nymphs and nits before they have a chance to mature and reproduce.

Head lice cannot become resistant to this treatment as no pesticides are used.

The length of time needed to do a complete comb out process varies

depending on texture and length of the hair as well as the level of infestation.

Once the wet-combing process has been completed the hair will need to be rinsed and dried.
After which there will be one more thorough head check to ensure treatment success and any
lice that still remain will be removed at this time.

To ensure a successful treatment a 7 day aftercare protocol must be followed.

Head lice can be hard to identify.

A simple head check from one of our lice technicians can confirm the presence of lice.

We are here to offer guidance and reassurance through the treatment

and aftercare process.

Our Guarantee

All members of a household must be examined by GOT LICE staff

and either cleared, or treated if lice are observed.

If evidence of an active lice infestation is observed within 30 days of initial treatment we will do a second treatment for free.

Please keep any specimens you find with you so we
may examine them.

The GOT LICE treatment plan is very effective at killing and removing head lice and eggs. However it is also possible that some lice or eggs may have been missed during the treatment.

To help assure that all lice and eggs are removed, GOT LICE requires you to follow our 7 day aftercare protocol to ensure treatment success.
